HEART HEALTH IS IMPORTANT
At Seven Pearls Foundation, we believe a woman’s heart is central to her strength, vitality, and ability to lead. Prioritizing heart health, especially in stressful situations, empowers women to thrive in all areas of life—whether in the classroom, the boardroom, or the community. Taking care of your heart reduces the harmful physical effects of stress, such as high blood pressure and inflammation, which can damage cardiovascular health over time. Additionally, maintaining a healthy heart boosts emotional resilience, helping women stay calm, make clear decisions, and lead with confidence even under pressure. That’s why we encourage women to take charge of their heart health and start a conversation about prevention, early detection, and self-care. Heart attacks don’t always present the same symptoms for everyone. While chest pain is often associated with heart attacks, women may experience different, sometimes less obvious signs. This graphic highlights how heart attacks manifest differently in men and women. Recognizing these symptoms early can save lives. Stay informed, stay vigilant, and prioritize your heart health! |
OUR INTERVENTION
Through our Heart to Lead™ initiative, the Seven Pearls Foundation is committed to advancing the health and well-being of women of color by addressing critical health disparities. Through collaborations with various organizations, we seek to combat three interconnected health challenges—heart disease, stroke, and lupus—that disproportionately affect women of color. These conditions are often linked by common cardiovascular complications and systemic healthcare barriers that lead to delayed diagnoses and poorer outcomes. By tackling these issues together, we aim to raise awareness, improve prevention efforts, and support organizations working to close health equity gaps. Healthy hearts are essential for women and girls to pursue their dreams, lead with strength, and positively impact their communities. Through Heart to Lead™, we are committed to ensuring they can. |
DID YOU KNOW?
Did you know that one in three women die of heart disease and stroke in the United States? We can change that because 80 % of cardiac events can be prevented with education and lifestyle changes. When it comes to beating heart disease and stroke change can be the cure. The Seven Pearls Foundation supports organizations that help raise awareness of heart disease and stroke. The American Heart Association is a national voluntary health agency to help reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke. The American Stroke Association is solely focused on reducing disability and death from stroke. |
LUPUS IN COLOR
We are proud to support Lupus In Color and the work that is done to bring awareness to Lupus. It is an international support and advocacy group dedicated to giving hope to Lupus Warriors worldwide. The main goal of Lupus In Color is to educate, inspire, encourage and empower lupus warriors and their supporters. Lupus is a chronic (long-term) disease that can cause inflammation and pain in any part of your body. It’s an autoimmune disease, which means that your immune system — the body system that usually fights infections — attacks healthy tissue instead. Learn more here: lupusincolor.com |
